Brick Slips & Re-Pointing
After many years of working with stone, mainly outside, one particularly cold and wet day a customer asked if I would be interested in fitting a brick slip interior feature wall in their new home. This is how “180 Walls” began!
On completion of that job I was amazed by the transformation the brick slips had made to the wall, the room and the house! The customer’s reaction was great too!
From then on I incorporated brick slips into my stonework business. I researched more about brick slips; finding out about the manufacturing, manufacturers, the suppliers, the adhesives, the variety of colours as well as exploring the various pointing options to create different finishes etc.
Through this I have built up a working relationship with The Brick Tile Company who now supply me with most of my products.

Brick slips, also known as brick tiles, are thin, lightweight slices crafted from real clay bricks, typically 15–30mm thick. When applied to interior walls, exterior walls or floors they are designed to replicate the timeless appeal of traditional exposed brickwork without the weight, cost, or structural demands of full-sized bricks. They are installed like tiles, bonded onto surfaces create feature walls and flooring, but because they are thin they do not reduce the dimensions of a room the way a standard brick thickness would.
They have particular impact when installed on a single “feature” wall in a room, around fireplaces or to add a certain quirkiness to a kitchen as an alternative to splashbacks.
